Stratford EMS and Stratford Fire Department recognized by Bridgeport Hospital for EMS response

STRATFORD, May 19th 2016, Bridgeport Hospital Recognized two Stratford EMS crews and some Stratford FD members with “Certificates of Excellence” for their fantastic performance on two calls earlier this year.  The ceremony was held during EMS week to recognize their outstanding performance on these calls.

Lt to Rt: Dr Latham, Paramedic David Rodriguez, Lt. John Roberts, EMT Ralph Arnone, EMS Coordinator Wes Young

Leigh Goodman-paramedic and her partner Wendi Lawless-EMT were recognized for responding to a call on 4/25/2016 where a 46y/o male suffered from severe burns to his airway.  Through their professional dedication and critical thinking skills they were able to successfully manage this patient’s injuries.  The patient survived the event with a good outcome.

Paramedic, David Rodriguez and his crew of EMT, Beverly Hill-EMT and EMT, Ralph Arnone were recognized along with the Stratford Fire Department (FD Lt .John Roberts, FF Richard Barry, FF Jason Leng and FF David Montemerlo)  for saving the life of a 71y/o female patient in cardiac arrest due to an airway obstruction.
