Since 1977, Stratford Emergency Medical Service (SEMS) has provided compassionate emergency medical care to Stratford residents, visitors, commuters, and neighboring communities. Our team combines skilled personnel, modern equipment, and a commitment to continuous improvement to deliver care when it matters most.
SEMS has a long history of innovation, including the early adoption of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and the development of a specialized medical bike unit.
Skilled Professionals. Compassionate Care.
Our EMS personnel complete rigorous training and maintain the certifications and licenses required for their roles. Our paramedics participate in ongoing medical education and physician-supervised continuous quality improvement to support safe, effective patient care.

We remain committed to responsible practices that help leave our community—and our planet—better than we found it.
