SEMS Staff Recognized by Hospital During EMS Week!

 

STRATFORD, CT – Two Stratford EMS EMT’s have been recognized by Bridgeport and St. Vincent’s Hospital during EMS Week for their outstanding work!

Per Diem EMT Raymond Wauthier was selected by Bridgeport Hospital as the “EMS Provider of the Year”.  He was presented a plaque and his name was added to a plaque posted inside the hospital.  A brief ceremony was held at Bridgeport Hospital on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 9:00 am .  Ray also works for American Medical Response – Fairfield County.

The EMS Provider of the Year award was established to recognize a provider who consistently demonstrates the highest levels of professionalism and patient care to his/her patients throughout the previous year. 

Ray is an EMT with both Stratford EMS and AMR-Bridgeport. He executes his duties with distinction and always maintains the highest standards in professionalism that both services demand.

Per Diem EMT/FTO Anthony Constantini was selected by St. Vincent’s hospital for their second annual EMS Values Awards. The awards recognize those who go above and beyond”. The awards are given to EMS workers for exhibiting the St. Vincent’s, EMS core values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and empathy while providing patient focused and selfless service. A ceremony was held a St. Vincent’s on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 6:00 pm.

“I am so proud of the work that the Stratford EMS team continues to do on a daily basis.  Both Raymond and Anthony were recognized for performance that exemplifies not only the values of the Bridgeport and St. Vincent’s Hospital EMS program, but also the core values and principles of Stratford EMS and the Town of Stratford.” said Michael Loiz, Director of EMS.

Larry Ciccarelli, Public Safety Director said, “This week we salute the work done by EMS.  EMS staff have a rigorous training program to become either an EMT or a Paramedic professional. The responsibility is great and I applaud their job well done.    Please thank  Stratford EMS the next time you see them in your neighborhood.”

Hoydick.  “Our EMS professionals represent the highest level of performance and dedication which is demonstrated daily by Stratford EMS.  I hope residents will join me in thanking them during National EMS Week, and affording them this recognition which is so well-deserved.”
