Mandatory Company Meeting

As Stratford EMS approaches its 50th Anniversary in 2027, we stand at one of the most important moments in our organization’s history.

Over the past 13 years, SEMS has evolved from a small “basement-based” EMS system into a respected, progressive, third-service EMS organization that continues to grow, innovate, and serve our community with pride. But with that growth has also come new challenges — staffing, reimbursement, funding uncertainty, and the changing landscape of EMS and healthcare nationwide.

Now, more than ever, we have an opportunity to come together as one team and shape what the next 50 years of SEMS will look like.

To help move our organization forward, SEMS leadership will be hosting a series of mandatory Company Meetings titled:

“FROM CROSSROADS TO COMMITMENT”

These meetings will provide an honest and exciting look at:
• Where SEMS has been
• The challenges we face as an organization
• The strategic vision for our future
• Plans to secure Full-Time EMT positions
• Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) initiatives
• Revenue diversification and organizational sustainability
• New opportunities for growth, staffing, and modernization

Most importantly, these meetings are about teamwork, transparency, and building a stronger SEMS together.

If we are going to make our 50th Anniversary year one of the strongest and most successful years in SEMS history, it will require commitment from all of us — career staff, volunteers, supervisors, officers, and leadership alike.

All SEMS personnel are required to attend one session.  Staff should NOT attend on duty where they can be pulled for calls.  Focus and engagement will be key.

The future of SEMS is not something that simply happens to us — it is something we build together. We look forward to seeing all of you there as we begin the next chapter of Stratford EMS.
